The Nationalpark Snæfellsjökull is only a few kilometers away. The house has two stories. Two bedrooms on the first floor (open space, foldable room divider).

From the big veranda around the house, you can enjoy an undisturbed view of one of the most beautiful glacier and Iceland, while drinking the morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.

Hellnar is a former fishing village, located just below the lovely glacier Snæfellsjökull. The French author Jules Verne made this glacier famous in his book "Journey to the Center of the Earth".
In Hellnar there is a small cafe and a hotel. The village Arnarstapi is within walking distance, and there is a delightful, easy walk along the shore to reach this small community. When staying in Hellnar you should drive up to the glacier. The Rauðfeldsgjá Gorge is also close by as well as the cave Sönghellir, known for its echoes.
