The house is a small modern summerhouse with everything you need. The house is surrounded with trees, so there is good privacy and you have a lovely view over the lake.
The cottage is two unites. In the main house there is a kitchen that is open into a small living-dining area and has everything you need for cooking. In the main house there is also an alcove with a double bed. In the guest house there is a double bed and a bathroom with WC and a shower. You can park above the house and walk down the wooden steps to the house, 40m.
There is also a lovely view over the lake Skorradalsvatn from the terrace and even from the beds you have lake view. To enjoy the view from out side, there is a garden table and chairs and gas grill on the terrace.The house is not suitable for young children

Skorradalsvatn, in Skorradalur valley, is a big lake between Hvalfjörður and Borgarfjörður. It is 16 km long, 1 km wide, and up to 60 meters deep. For most houses standing at the lake there is a trout fishing licence.
Borgarnes is the nearest town, with restaurants, bigger supermarkets, cafés and the fascinating museum, the Settlement Center. There is also a lovely swimming pool with a steam bath, an ice bath and hot tubs.
In Borgarfjörður, you don't want to miss Reykholt, Deildartunguhver hot spring, and the lava waterfall Hraunfossar. Further deep into the fjord you will find caves around Húsafell, for example, Víðgelmir, the largest and most spectacular lava tunnel in Iceland.
