You will love the breathtaking view of the Lake Þingvallavatn. You are practically inside the national park Þingvellir where the first parliament in the world took place. Only 40 minutes away, you will have reached the highlights of the Golden Circle; the Golden Waterfall Gullfoss and the Geysir.
The three-bedroom house is well maintained and decorated elegantly. The kitchen is modern and has excellent facilities; a microwave and a dishwasher. The living room is stunning, with a beautiful fireplace and a fantastic view of the lake. In the house, there is a possibility of a 4G internet connection, and you will find a TV, DVD and radio/CD. It has everything for you to have proper relaxation. Bathroom: WC/bath. On the ground floor, there is a washing machine and a shower room in case you want to enjoy the sauna.
From the terrace, you are going to spend an enjoyable time, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee under the morning sky or a nice Icelandic BBQ meal prepared on the gas grill. If you are lucky, you may see Northern Lights in the dark hours. Private parking space in the front.

The village of Laugarvatn is ca 30 km drive away. Laugarvatn is situated in the area Árnessýsla, along the shore of the shallow lake Laugarvatn. The small community with ca 200 inhabitants was originally formed around the boarding school there. Nowadays it is now best known for being a detour on the Golden Circle. Here you can find all basic services like a small grocery store, restaurant, gas station, swimming pool, sauna, horse rental and a golf course. The shores of the lake have several geothermal hot springs. You can also hire a boat and go on the lake. All in all, an excellent location for day tours to Iceland's top attractions like Þingvellir national park, Geysir, Gullfoss and Skálholt bishop seat.

»A very nice house in a wunderfull location. You can enjoy the absolut amazing view from the hot Pot on the balcony and this ist a feeling nobody can top. You feel that the owner of this house put a lot of effort to make it this cosy at it is.«
