Kot is a log cabin in South Iceland, only 11 km away from the famous highlights of the Golden Circle, Geysir and waterfall Gullfoss.

Úthlíð, a popular vacation house area, consists of a camping area, summerhouses and a service centre with a horse riding rental. Within the area, you can visit the swimming pool that also has a hot pot, from where you can enjoy the distant mountain view. Also, a nine-hole golf terrain belongs to Úthlíð.

The functionally well maintained cabin has two bedrooms, both with a double bed. A baby cot is also available. The open kitchen has a microwave and a dining table. Relax in the living room corner with TV and radio / CD.

You are welcome to use your gas grill outside on the terrace. Icelanders love to grill, so it should not be missing from your island vacation. Enjoy the view and the tranquility of the surroundings. Parking is close to the house.

The vacation house area in Bláskógabyggð is on the Golden Circle route and only a short drive away from Geysir in south-west Iceland. The famous Geysir is one of Iceland's most famous tourist attractions, with Strokkur being the most active hot spring. It can hurl boiling water up 40 meters into the air every 6 - 10 minutes. There is a large visitor center with souvenir shop, restaurants, and a gas station. There are many activities in the area, such as horse riding, a golf course and excellent hiking paths. The mighty Gullfoss waterfall is only 10 km away.

The closest villages are Reykholt and Laugarvatn. Both are ca 20 km away and have a small grocery store, restaurant and gas station.

The nearest town for bigger shopping is Selfoss 55 km away. Selfoss is the largest town in South Iceland on the banks of the Ölfusá river. The town is a centre of commerce and small industries with a population of ca 8.000. There are many shops, restaurants, supermarkets and an outdoor geothermal swimming pool.
