This house is beautifully decorated with lovely attention to detail. It is centrally located in South Iceland, ideal for sightseeing in this part of the country. The highlights of the famous Golden Circle are not far away, and for those who love steam baths and saunas, visit Fontana Spa in Laugarvatn.

The owners have lovably maintained the beautiful cabin. It has two bedrooms, each with a double bed. The kitchen is equipped to prepare delightful meals during your stay, located in the open space living room. There you find a TV. The house provides you with an internet connection that you can use as you please. Bathroom with a WC/shower.

The 60 sqm terrace has a fantastic view of the distant mountains, and it invites you to stay and enjoy the lovely hot tub, or a cup of coffee. There is also a gas grill which Icelanders find indispensable in summerhouses in general. Enjoy the Icelandic experience. It is indeed worth it.

Laugarvatn is situated in the area Árnessýsla, along the shore of the shallow lake Laugarvatn. The small community with ca 200 inhabitants was originally formed around the boarding school there. Nowadays it is now best known for being a detour on the Golden Circle. It is a popular stop for travellers as it is located near many of Iceland's top attractions like Thingvellir national park, Geysir, Gullfoss waterfall and Skálholt bishop seat.

Here you can find all basic services like a small grocery store, restaurants, gas station, swimming pool, sauna, horse rental and a golf course. The shores of the lake have several geothermal hot springs. You can also hire a boat to go on the lake.
