The house is located on the mountainside in the beautiful valley Fnjóskadalur, close to Iceland's second largest forest, Vaglaskógur. It is therefore centrally located for trips to northeastern Iceland.
This simple practical house has two sleeping areas. In one small bedroom you will find a bunk bed and the other sleeping area, that opens into the living area, there is a double bed (150 cm). If is possible to separated these two areas with a curtain for more privacy. There is a small kitchen with a seating area. The living room has a TV, radio / CD, DVD and a fiber optic internet connection that can only be used for surfing. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and toilet.
The small terrace has a charcoal grill and garden furniture where you can enjoy the beautiful view with a cup of coffee. Parking is right in front of the house.

Vaglaskógur is the second largest forest in Iceland and invites you to undertake various hiking tours in this beautiful area. Nearby bigger towns are Akureyri and Húsavík.
Akureyri is only 15 km west of Fnjóskadalur. It is at the base of Eyjafjörður Fjord and the biggest town in North Iceland with a population of ca 19.000. Akureyri is a center of commerce with a harbour and airport for domestic flights. You find a number of supermarkets, restaurants and gas stations here, as well as swimming pools and interesting museums and other sights.
