Hrafnasteinn is a beautiful house in the summerhouse area of Akureyri, Vaðlaheiði.
The impressive view of Akureyri and the fjord Eyjafjörður adds a reason to stay in this house. The cabin, built in 2012, is in excellent state. The owners put much effort into the lovely decoration; modern Icelandic design items and the furniture was chosen from Icelandic designers as much as possible. An excellent location for excursions in the North, but if you want to have a lazy day in the house with visits to the neighbouring villages, this house will not disappoint you.
Hrafnasteinn, which translates into "Raven Stone", has three bedrooms, all on the same level. The kitchen is well equipped and has a dishwasher. The living room has a TV, and a WiFi connection, so that you can connect to more channels. The bathroom has a big shower that fits two persons, WC and a washing machine.
From the 70 sqm terrace, you have a magnificent view of Akureyri and the scenic Fjord Eyjafjörður, also from the hot tub. You can enjoy a delicious meal outside on the terrace, cooked on the gas grill.

The nearby Akureyri Art Museum displays contemporary art from Iceland and abroad. Close to the center are the Botanical Gardens, with specimens from all across Iceland. The Christmas house ("Jólahúsið") is a special place to visit and open all year round.
