The Sólvellir-East holiday home is in the tiny village of Breiðdalsvík. The view is splendid both to majestic mountains and black sand beaches. Here you can experience genuine small-town hospitality and fresh regional cuisine.

This former family house with three bedrooms has a living room and a separate kitchen with a microwave. In the newly renovated bathroom, you will find a shower and WC. Staying in this house will take you a bit back in time, feel free to soak in the Icelandic atmosphere and enjoy like the locals.

By the house is a small garden and there you can sit and enjoy the clean air and the ocean smell. There is a parking space in front of the house.

Breiðdalsvík is a young fishing village in East Iceland, within the incredible valley of Breiðdalur. Breiðdalsvík is dominated by the magnificent alpine peak of Tóartindur with over 1000 meters. It is directly located at the coast with black sand beaches.

Despite the size of Breiðdalsvík (population ca 140) you can find a small coffee shop, restaurant and a self-service gas station. The nearest grocery stores are in Stöðvarfjörður and Fáskrúðsfjörður.

»The eastfjords were really beautiful. The house was ok but a little bit old-fashioned and not as clean as other houses we stayed in. The location near the street and the small harbour and far away from a lot of the places we wanted to visit was not so perfect to us.«
